Project Overview

The Altro LLP website redesign was a collaborative effort aimed at elevating the firm’s online presence to target new markets, increase business visibility, and attract more clients and consultations. This group project involved a team of three members, each contributing unique skills to ensure the project’s success.

As the project’s Web Designer and Developer, I worked alongside Jessica to design and develop the website using the Divi theme. Together, we focused on creating a modern, user-friendly layout that highlighted Altro LLP’s expertise and services. Our team leader, serving as the Project Manager, maintained open communication with the client, gathering requirements and providing feedback to guide our work.

After the website launch, our team collaborated to improve its SEO by optimizing keywords and content. The results have been outstanding, with the site now attracting 100–200 views per day and achieving 8–10 clicks consistently, significantly boosting Altro LLP’s online engagement and visibility.

Challenges

One of the key challenges for Altro LLP was that their old website did not effectively represent their business. The design lacked the aesthetic appeal to match their professional image, and the user journey was not intuitive, making it difficult for visitors to engage with the content and navigate toward key calls to action (CTAs).

Goals

Create a website that not only showcased the firm’s legal expertise but also improved user engagement and conversion rates. By enhancing the website’s design and user experience, we aimed to increase the number of consultations and clients, ultimately supporting the firm’s business growth and market positioning.

Process

Understanding Client Requirements

We communicated with project manager to fully understand the client's needs and align the website with Altro LLP’s business goals.

Group Brainstorming & Mood Board Creation

Our team brainstormed and created a mood board to establish the visual direction and aesthetic for the website.

Design & Development Split Tasks

The design and development tasks were split between me and Jessica, with ongoing collaboration to ensure a responsive and user-friendly site.

Client & Supervisor Feedback

We incorporated feedback from project manager and the client, making adjustments to improve the design and functionality.

Website Deployment & SEO Optimization

After deploying the site, we optimized it for SEO by focusing on keyword adjustments to enhance visibility and traffic.

Features Delivered

1. Harmonized and Consistent Colors

The new website features a color scheme that is more harmonious and consistent with Altro LLP’s logo, enhancing their professional image and creating a cohesive visual identity.

2. Optimized User Journey with Targeted CTAs

By strategically placing CTA buttons and banners (such as “Contact Us”), we improved the user journey, guiding visitors toward key actions that align with the firm’s business goals.

3. Improved Page Layouts

The pages have been redesigned for a cleaner, more organized layout, making it easier for users to find the information they need quickly and efficiently.

4. Mockup Books Section

A dedicated “Mockup Books” section was created to showcase Altro LLP’s credentialed work, highlighting their expertise and building credibility with potential clients.

5. Clear Expertise & Team Member Pages

The expertise and team member pages have been redesigned for consistency and clarity, showcasing detailed information about the firm’s legal specialists and their areas of expertise.

6. Dynamic Blog Section

A new blog section was added to keep the website dynamic and engaging, allowing Altro LLP to share useful, informative content that attracts and retains visitors.

Reflection

1. Divi Customization Challenges

Although we used Divi as our primary tool, there were instances where styling needed to be customized to address compatibility issues, reinforcing the importance of flexibility and attention to detail when working with pre-built themes.

2. Team Collaboration
This project strengthened my ability to work effectively in a team. Collaborating closely with Jessica and Pierre allowed me to refine my communication skills and contribute to the successful completion of the project.

3. Handling Conflicts with Client Preferences
When our design concept conflicted with the client’s preference, I learned the importance of clear communication. I explained the rationale behind our design choices, but ultimately, I followed the client’s direction—such as in the case of the expertise section’s card layout, where the client requested a centered alignment and larger size for the last card.

4. Business-Driven Design Thinking
This project enhanced my ability to merge user-centric design with client-centric business goals. I focused on ensuring the website not only provided a great user experience but also supported the client’s business objectives, helping Altro LLP reach its target market and increase client conversions.
